Things done thus far today:
1. Remembered both to make a thermos of tea this morning AND to put it into my bag and bring it to work. I have failed step two on several occasions in the past. *headdesk*
2. Not the IRS 9am to... well, officially 9pm, but unofficially we should be able to close just past 8pm unless we get unexpected late clients. I have mostly been answering phones all day, since I had no scheduled clients and we have not had any walk-ins. (Also our day receptionist was out because she was in a nasty car crash yesterday afternoon; she's mostly okay, but the other driver died, so for obvious reasons, she did not come in to work.)
3. Wrote three 3-sentence ficathon fills. I may write more this evening, or I might try working some more on the untitled Narnia bridge fic.
4. Bought some ebooks, because reasons.
5. Read the introduction and first chapter of A Fistful of Shells: West Africa from the Rise of the Slave Trade to the Age of Revolution, by Toby Green. So far it's very interesting and informative, but the text is a little dense, which is why I'm taking it in smallish chunks.
6. Renewed my Celexa prescription via my local medical practice's online patient portal. When I walked over to Tops to buy lunch (look, I am fully aware that supermarket to-go foods can be pretty iffy on the nutritional front, but Tops does some surprisingly decent soup options, particularly their "hearty beef chili," and lately also their "Cajun chicken stew with andouille sausage"), I checked at the in-store pharmacy to see if they'd received the new prescription. The pharmacist at the counter said they had it on file, but they can't fill it until around the 22nd, because of when I picked up my last refill on my current/old prescription. Which is fair! I just wanted to get the renewal request in while I was thinking of it, because otherwise I could easily let it slide until I had only one or two days of pills left, which is not a good time to run into any potential complications. *wry*
...
Now I think I will go heat up my less-healthy Tops to-go food choice (chicken tenders with blue cheese dressing) for an early dinner, and either continue websurfing or get back to writing.
