wherein Liz fails to give blood
Jan. 23rd, 2017 12:02 pmI was scheduled to give blood today, but unfortunately I've been fighting off an almost-cold for the past several days. (It wants to turn into a cold, but I keep getting just enough sleep and eating just well enough that it can't quite get a full foothold and remains at 'mildly annoying sniffle' level.) I figure that even though I'm perfectly functional, there is still enough rhinovirus floating around in my system that I should probably not be donating blood at the moment.
I have rescheduled for a drive on February 2nd. Hopefully that one will go better. *crosses fingers*
(Regularly donating blood is a small and relatively easy way to make the world a better place, incidentally. If you are medically and mentally/emotionally able to do so, please look into blood drives in your area! There are never enough dependable donors.)
