The parental visit was a success! Mom picked me up from the smoke shop at 5pm, whereupon we drove to my apartment, fed their dog, and moved their coolers into my kitchen where it was more temperate than the street. Dad joined us shortly thereafter, and once Mom finished walking the dog, we headed into town for dinner.

We ate at the Mahogany Grill, which we had never done before though I have worked less than a block from it for over six years. I can report that the food is good, the service is excellent, and the ambiance is pretty good. (Their tea selection could use some work -- their only black tea was Lipton and everything else was herbal -- but at least Lipton isn't Earl Grey, so I am not much fussed.)

In other news, the Aradia<3Aradia porn is now 3,000 words. WTF is Homestuck fandom doing to me???
